What you’ll do
- The creative lead supporting the New Product Development Director, designers and engineers to come up with innovative creative solutions that support project goals.
- Conduct conceptual exploration, coming up with alternative design solutions to ensure no stone is left unturned.
- Evaluate design options, develop and push to find ‘big ideas’ based on design strategy and creative brief.
- Evaluate and develop competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans.
- Partner and interact with internal teams and clients to showcase your passion for creative excellence, branding, packaging, and visual communication.
What you’ll need
- An impressive branding and packaging portfolio, demonstrating recent work with a track record of creative idea generation, strategy and development. Visual portfolio required for consideration.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in industrial design, product design or related design field of study
- Previous industrial design experience in a similar role to include independently leading design development projects utilizing project management and design strategies. Experience within a brand/design agency is a plus.
- Outstanding Adobe Creative Suite skills, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with prototyping (3D printing, CNC, metal/wood/foam fabrication)
- Demonstrated experience in 2D sketching and ideation using digital and traditional tools to visualize ideas and rapidly brainstorm ideas
- High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, 3D CAD software such as Fusion 360, Solidworks, or Rhino and with Rendering software such as KeyShot, Unity, or Blender
- Industrial design experience with food service packaging, preferred
- Proficiency with Unigraphics NX, preferred
- Animation, graphic design and/or model making experience, preferred
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time domestically
