Duties
- Project Leadership: Plan, direct, and oversee complex fabrication activities and installations. Collaborate with the NASA Communications Office and the NCS
Exhibits Service Line Manager to ensure seamless execution of projects, including event setups, property management, and materials tracking.
- Client and Team Interaction: Engage directly with clients, managers, and team leads to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and maintain quality and
safety standards. Facilitate regular communication to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Exhibit Fabrication and Event Coordination: Lead the Glenn Research Exhibits team and external vendors in scheduling and executing exhibit fabrication and
event coordination. Understand and manage the order of operations to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
- Property and Artifact Management: Assist with artifact management and ensure strict adherence to property procedures.
- Safety and Quality Control: Oversee safety and quality standards during installations, ensuring compliance with NASA guidelines and best practices.
- Integrated Master Schedule Management: Create, manage, and maintain an integrated master schedule. Conduct weekly progress meetings to keep the team
informed and projects on track.
- Hands-On Installation: Participate in the physical setup of events and installations, including hauling heavy objects and operating machinery such as forklifts and
box trucks.
- Administrative Duties: Execute various administrative tasks including writing formal Request for Proposal documents, work-in-progress reporting, and property
management.
- This is a hybrid position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial design or a related field is preferred from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of professional experience in industrial design, project management, or a related field
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Solidworks, Keyshot Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience with Agile project management is desirable.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP®) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong team orientation, collaborative spirit, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead teams, prioritize competing
deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks, including heavy lifting and operating heavy machinery. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or less.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience working with NASA or in a government agency environment.
- Flexibility to travel and work nights, holidays and weekends

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
