The Lead Drafter is responsible for all aspects of the Drafting group including CAD administration, reviewing the Drafting team’s work to ensure the drafting standards are followed, responsible for assignment of jobs to meet deadlines, create 3-D models for customers and vendors for part creation or concept evaluation, provide training and assistance to team members, and work within the Engineering Change Process. Accuracy of work and ability to verify the work of team members is critical.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and assign the Drafting team’s workload.
- Review / check Drafting team’s drawing / models for manufacturing or fabrication use.
- Create models / drawings for manufacturing and/or fabrication.
- CAD Administration
Requirements:
- Certificate, diploma in industrial design or drawing program; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products
- Excellent CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoDesk Suite)
