Industrial Designer Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, innovative Industrial Designer to become a part of our product development team. In this role, you will conduct research, contribute to prototype design, and help us develop both product packaging and the necessary instructional artwork. Our ideal candidate is an expert in Solidworks and other types of CAD or 3D modeling software.

Industrial Designer Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct product research

Assist with product development

Contribute to prototype design

Develop packaging and consult on instructional artwork

Work on Safety and Sanitation Listings for our Domestic and International products

Update or create existing products CAD Files

Create and Update Bills of Materials for existing and new products.

Manage and Update Owners and Technical Manuals

Assist with designing and implementing manufacturing tooling

Create Requests for Bid Proposals and Mange NDA’s for outsourced manufacturing providers.

*Industrial Designer Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in industrial design, architecture, engineering, or a related field

Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Solidworks

Analytical skills

Ability to work on a team

Understanding of supply chain management and outsourced manufacturing

Communication skills to work directly with customers, vendors, and team members to create solutions for problems.

Project management skills to ensure new and existing products, processes, and procedures are being implemented.

Experience in product testing and quality control.

Appreciation and Interest in American Manufacturing and Craftsmanship.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Netsuite ERP, WMS, MRP or Equivalent software.
