We are seeking a Junior Packaging Designer and Sample Coordinator with a passion for designing packaging that entices and engages the end customer.

By partnering with our In-person and Remote cross-functional teams, you will turn your insights into delightful packaging in a creative environment. This position needs to be experienced in packaging design but can be trained in the sample coordination process. It will take an organized person to be able to do both.

Some of the customers we work with are Walmart, Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Burlington, Big Lots, Wayfair, Amazon, and more!

This position is based in Denver, CO we do not provide relocation assistance. This position can be remote/hybrid for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Packaging Design:

Develop packaging concepts that enhance product appeal and ensure functionality.

Collaborate with designers, product development, and manufacturing teams to create packaging that meets brand standards and consumer needs.

Create detailed design specifications and technical drawings for production.

Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into designs.

Conduct mock-ups and prototypes to test designs and gather feedback.

Understand product development life cycles and time layouts for every day/ seasonal packaging.

Sample Coordination:

Manage the sample production process from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and oversee sample creation.

Organize and maintain a library of packaging samples for internal and client use. Keep spreadsheet on sample status (Design to Factory to Denver Office to Customer)

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure samples meet project requirements and timelines.

Track sample inventory and manage reordering as necessary.

Open, Organize and evaluate samples.

Help out on as needed photography of samples

Meet with Design team/ Product Development a minimum of 5 times a week.

Requirements

We need a "Get SH*T done" attitude.

Fluent in Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Proven experience in all phases of the packaging process including but not limited to concept generation, graphic design, design for production

An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious

Excellent attention to detail and self-starter attitude

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members (Remote and In Office). Inclusive of vendors, agents, and factories.

Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives

Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve

Flexible and creative problem-solving skills

Dynamic, creative personality, with a detail-oriented eye.

Embrace change and react with speed and agility.

Visual merchandising experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree is required.

2+ years of packaging design is required, sample coordination and evaluation experience is preferred but can be taught.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.

Overseas/domestic travel may be required.

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.

Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
