We are seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to help shape the future of AI robotics systems. This role focuses on creating functional, manufacturable, and user-friendly designs for cutting-edge robotic solutions. Collaborating with engineers and product managers, you will play a key role in designing systems that are visually appealing and ready for production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop industrial solutions balancing functionality, manufacturability, and user experience.
- Integrate mechanical, electrical, and AI components into cohesive hardware designs.
- Create 3D models, prototypes, and production-ready designs using tools like SolidWorks, Fusion360, Blender, or Rhino.
- Partner with domestic and international manufacturing partners, including Chinese suppliers, to ensure quality and scalability.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate designs to meet user needs and production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and incorporate human factors into design decisions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial design, focusing on robotics, hardware, or IoT devices.
- Expertise in manufacturing processes, including metal/plastic fabrication, machining, and integrated assembly.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling, rendering, and creating detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Strong communication skills to present designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
- Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes for hardware or robotics products.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for robotic systems.
- Familiarity with human factors and ergonomic design.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing hardware designs.
