Location: Gurgaon, Sector 58 | Work From Office

Experience: 2–3 Years

About Puresta

Puresta Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. is building a portfolio of derma-led lifestyle brands with a focus on effective, science-backed products and strong consumer experiences.

Our portfolio includes SkinQ, a dermatologist-formulated skincare brand, and SkinQ Rx, our prescription-focused brand. We are looking for a Packaging Designer who can take ownership of packaging design and artwork execution across both brands.

Role Overview

As a Packaging Designer, you will be responsible for developing packaging concepts, artworks, print-ready files, product visuals, and related design assets across multiple SKUs and formats. The role requires a strong understanding of packaging design, technical artwork, print production, and visual communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Packaging Design & Artwork

  • Develop packaging designs and artworks for multiple SKUs, variants, pack sizes, and product formats across SkinQ and SkinQ Rx.
  • Adapt master designs across the portfolio while maintaining brand consistency and visual guidelines.
  • Create clear and visually effective layouts for product information, claims, ingredients, directions, and mandatory content.
  • Develop new packaging concepts and design directions for product launches and portfolio extensions.
  • Ensure packaging designs are visually appealing, functional, and aligned with the brand positioning.

2. Technical Artwork & Print Production

  • Work with KLDs, dielines, bleed areas, margins, folds, cut lines, and other packaging specifications.
  • Prepare accurate, colour-separated, print-ready artwork files.
  • Ensure correct application of CMYK, Pantone, colour profiles, typography, dimensions, and print specifications.
  • Coordinate with printers and production partners for artwork execution and troubleshooting.
  • Review print proofs, samples, and mock-ups to ensure the final output matches the approved artwork.
  • Identify and resolve artwork or production issues before printing.

3. Product & Visual Communication

  • Develop strong visual layouts using typography, colour, imagery, graphics, and visual hierarchy.
  • Create product images, catalogue creatives, PDP images, marketplace assets, and other digital product communication.
  • Develop packaging mock-ups and product visualisations for internal presentations and product launches.
  • Ensure consistency of product visuals across packaging, e-commerce, digital, and marketing channels.

4. Artwork Management & Quality Control

  • Manage artwork revisions, amendments, approvals, and final production files.
  • Maintain proper file naming, version control, documentation, and artwork archives.
  • Handle multiple packaging projects simultaneously while meeting timelines.
  • Conduct detailed pre-production checks to ensure artwork is accurate, complete, and production-ready.
  • Minimise artwork errors, rework, and production-related issues.

5. Research & Design Development

  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to identify packaging and visual design trends.
  • Develop mood boards, references, and visual directions for new products and packaging projects.
  • Research typography, colour palettes, illustrations, imagery, materials, and finishing techniques relevant to skincare and beauty.
  • Source and manage relevant design assets through platforms such as Freepik, Shutterstock, and other approved image libraries.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Regulatory, Procurement, Sales, and Production teams.
  • Coordinate with printers, packaging vendors, manufacturers, and external agencies.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback while maintaining design quality and brand consistency.
  • Support packaging projects from initial concept and design development through final production and launch.
  • Ensure all packaging artwork is aligned with approved product information and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in packaging design, graphic design, or a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in packaging artwork and print production.
  • Good understanding of dielines, KLDs, print specifications, colour separation, CMYK, Pantone, bleed, margins, and finishing techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign or equivalent design tools.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience working with printers, packaging vendors, and production teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience in skincare, beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, pharma, or D2C brands will be an advantage.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership of packaging projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable creating a new packaging direction and checking a final print file for a tiny artwork or production error.
