Responsibilities

Lead the design direction for women’s sneakers from concept through development, balancing fashion, commerciality, performance, comfort, and premium craftsmanship.
Research and interpret sneaker market trends, competitive products, emerging silhouettes, materials, colors, consumer behavior, and broader fashion influences.
Develop innovative, elevated, and commercially viable sneaker concepts that establish a cohesive design point of view and differentiate our client in the competitive market.
Partner closely with product development, merchandising, and cross-functional teams to bring concepts to market, considering construction, hardware, color, proportion, materials, and technical execution.
Present and clearly communicate design concepts and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

5–8+ years of footwear design experience, including significant experience designing sneakers and owning or substantially contributing to a sneaker category.
Deep expertise in the sneaker market, competitive landscape, consumer preferences, and current and emerging trends.
Portfolio demonstrating strong sneaker design, creativity, commercial awareness, fashion-forward sensibility, and a clear point of view.
Strong understanding of footwear construction, materials, color, proportion, and the ability to balance innovation with commercial product needs.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and relevant footwear design tools, with strong communication, presentation, collaboration, strategic thinking, and self-direction skills.
