Coronet continues to grow and exceed expectations in producing high-end architectural luminaires quickly and efficiently. We are currently seeking an Industrial Designer to join the Product Development team. The individual will be responsible for conceptualizing, and designing, and producing new products.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Industrial Designer will be a member of the Product Development team
- Conceptualize ideas for new architectural lighting fixtures; regularly presenting ideas to various decision-makers
- Full end-to-end product development including ideation, concept, design, and product launch.
- Creation of all technical material needed for a product including bill of materials, installation sheets, product briefs, etc.
- Part and assembly creation using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with multiple departments throughout the development process
- Use AutoCAD to create drawings for fabrication to make prototypes for testing and evaluation
- Ability to render using Adobe Photoshop, Keyshot, or similar programs
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Product Development experience a must
- Lighting experience preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods; aluminum extrusion, plastic extrusion, sheet metal, and die casting
- Highly proficient in CAD and design software; Solidworks, AutoCAD, Keyshot, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Excellent sketching ability
- Experience with new product ideation
- Excellent written and verbal skills
