Role Description The Jewelry Designer – CAD will work on-site in Surat in a full-time capacity, translating design concepts into detailed CAD models for manufacturing. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating 2D sketches and 3D CAD designs, refining existing designs based on feedback, and ensuring technical accuracy for stone setting, metal weight, and production feasibility. The role involves collaborating with product development, production, and merchandising teams to align designs with brand aesthetics, cost targets, and market trends. The designer will research fashion jewelry trends, prepare design presentations, and maintain organized digital design files and specifications for timely project delivery. Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Jewelry Design and Fashion Jewelry, with the ability to create designs that match brand style and market demand.
  • Proficiency in Drawing and Product Design to develop clear sketches, concepts, and design variations.
  • Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for jewelry (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD or similar software).
  • Understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, setting styles, and basic gemology concepts.
  • Ability to interpret design briefs, work with feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and the capability to manage multiple design projects within deadlines.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a jewelry design or CAD role, especially in fine or fashion jewelry, will be an advantage.
