About this role
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Philippines (Remote)
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a minimum four-hour daily overlap with US Eastern business hours (NYC). Remaining hours are flexible and may be split, provided the agreed overlap window is consistent and communicated to the team.
About the Company
Our client is a custom fine fragrance brand that helps customers create a scent that is uniquely their own. Through US retail studios and an at-home experience, customers explore core fragrances, personalize their blend, and name their scent. Saved formulas make it easy to reorder their custom fragrance.
With a growing eCommerce presence and a bold, modern, playful visual identity, the brand brings its personalized approach to fragrance, gifting, body products, and home fragrance. Its small creative team collaborates across packaging, retail experiences, campaigns, and digital channels.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are in search of a Junior Designer with a strong foundation in print production and packaging design to support our client's custom fragrance brand. Reporting to the Creative Team Lead Lead, you will primarily adapt existing designs and prepare accurate, production-ready artwork for packaging, labels, and other print materials. More than 90% of the initial work will involve adapting existing designs, with approximately 80–90% of the workload focused on print and packaging. You will also support printer and vendor coordination, with opportunities to develop digital and retail design skills and take on more creative ownership over time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Print Production: Prepare and check production-ready artwork with accurate bleeds, dielines, and printer specifications, ensuring files are ready for production.
- Design Adaptation: Adapt existing layouts into color, size, and format variations efficiently while maintaining accuracy and brand consistency.
- Packaging Design: Adapt labels, gift boxes, rigid cartons, and die-cut packaging formats under the Design Lead's direction and in line with the brand's visual identity.
- Printer and Vendor Coordination: Work toward ownership of printer and production vendor communication, source vendors when needed, and coordinate artwork handoffs through to print.
- Digital and Retail Support: Adapt existing designs for social content, email graphics, advertising assets, web banners, signage, and retail displays as needed, with guidance and training from the Design Lead.
- Campaign and Launch Support: Prepare primarily print and packaging collateral, along with supporting digital assets, for seasonal campaigns and product launches.
- Asset Management: Keep working files, versions, and final assets clearly organized and accessible; support photo retouching where skills allow.
- Creative Development: Build familiarity with the brand and support occasional mixed-media, tactile, or original concept explorations as creative ownership develops.
- Collaboration and Delivery: Follow creative direction, incorporate constructive feedback, and communicate progress and agreed deadlines.
