Industrial Designer (Sr. Manager)

Key Responsibilities

• Design-led role focused on sketching, rendering (like key shot etc.) and surfacing softwares (like Alias or Rhino)
• Lead concept generation through sketching, mood boards, and design narratives for new products
• Develop 3D surface/concept models in Rhino 3D and/or Autodesk Alias to explore form, proportion, and aesthetics
• Translate user research and market insights into design concepts and product language
• Create renders and visualizations to communicate design intent to stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with engineering/CAD teams to hand off design intent for feasibility and detailed CAD development
• Build and refine design guidelines, mood boards, and trend/competitive analysis
• Present design concepts to leadership, clients, or cross-functional teams
• Guide junior designers and review their concept work
• Stay current with materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and design trends relevant to the product category

Required Skills

• Strong hand-sketching and ideation skills
• Proficiency in Rhino 3D (mandatory); working knowledge of Alias preferred
• Proficiency in rendering tools (KeyShot, V-Ray, or similar)
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-form design process (not just finished renders)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and ergonomics as they relate to design decisions
• Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Good to Have

• Experience working alongside CAD/engineering teams on design handoff
• Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentations
• Experience in product category — e.g., consumer electronics, mobility, appliances.
