Toy Designer

Department: Product Development / Design

Experience: 2 to 4 years in related field

Min. Qualification required: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Toy Design, Fine Arts, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Work in co-ordination with the Design team.

Design and develop innovative toy concepts for children across different age groups.

Create sketches, illustrations, and 3D models of toy ideas.

Research toy market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products.

Develop prototypes and assist in product testing.

Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams during product development.

Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Modify and improve existing products based on feedback and testing results.

Prepare design specifications, presentations, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

Creativity and strong visualization skills.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Blender, SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360.

Basic knowledge of toy manufacturing processes and materials (plastic, wood, fabric, etc.).

Understanding of child development and age-appropriate play patterns.

Strong sketching and model-making abilities.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Internship or project experience in toy design, product design, or children's products.

Portfolio showcasing sketches, 3D models, prototypes, or creative projects.

Knowledge of toy safety standards (ASTM F963, EN71, BIS standards) is an advantage.
