About this role

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 USD per year, depending on experience

Naked Wolfe is looking for a highly experienced Product Developer with a strong background in designing and developing both men’s and women’s footwear. Advanced CAD skills are essential. You will translate creative direction into precise shoe designs and technical specifications, own the development calendar and drive sampling with confidence. You should bring a substantial portfolio of footwear taken from initial concept through development to finished product.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop men’s and women’s footwear from creative briefs, producing accurate, detailed CAD drawings that communicate proportions, colourways, materials and construction.
  • Build complete footwear technical specifications, detailing uppers, soles, components, measurements, materials and finishes, and keep every revision accurate.
  • Create and own the design and development calendar, mapping sample deadlines, review dates and key approval milestones.
  • Keep development on schedule by tracking progress, following up on outstanding actions and flagging delays early with practical solutions.
  • Research the market, emerging trends, materials and competitor products to inform development while preserving the Naked Wolfe point of view.
  • Order and coordinate development samples with suppliers, communicating briefs, specifications and requested changes clearly.
  • Organise and track all samples, maintaining accurate records of versions, deliveries, review comments and approval status.
  • Review men’s and women’s footwear samples with the design team, assess shape, fit and construction, and communicate precise corrections to suppliers.

What you bring

  • Extensive professional experience in footwear design and development, with completed work across both men’s and women’s shoes. Experience in both categories is essential.
  • Advanced CAD ability, with a portfolio demonstrating detailed footwear drawings, accurate proportions and factory-ready technical specifications. Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or relevant footwear CAD software.
  • Strong technical knowledge of footwear materials, lasts, uppers, soles, fit and construction, supported by substantial experience working directly with factories and resolving sample issues.
  • A proven ability to independently manage multiple styles, development calendars and sample rounds, with strong commercial judgement and meticulous attention to detail.

How to apply

Apply through LinkedIn with your CV and a portfolio covering both men’s and women’s footwear. Include detailed CAD drawings, technical specifications and finished shoes, explaining your role in design and development. Your portfolio must demonstrate advanced CAD skills and substantial footwear experience.
