About this role
Position: Lead Designer, Footwear Materials Design
Location: Beaverton, OR (4 days onsite/Friday remote)
Duration: 1-year contract
- On-site role at Beaverton; typical work hours, 4/1 hybrid schedule (some Fridays may be required on-site per business needs)
- Contract will run ~1 year from start date
- Potential for domestic travel
- Degree preferred, not a hard requirement
- 2-5 years’ experience preferred in a mat design role (could be less if candidate has recent experience)
Top must-have skills include the following:
- Understanding of costing, how to navigate material library, negotiating pricing, working with vendors/material developers (footwear specifically)
- Adobe Illustrator expertise
- Aurora experience (uploading CADs)
- Miro experience
- Portfolios required to be considered
Desired soft skills:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take feedback in stride
- Will help support the existing body of work for the team and the collection for the year.
