Package Designer – R&D
OUR ROLE
Would you like to design packaging that consumers see, handle and experience around the world?
We are looking for a Package Designer to join the Fiskars R&D team and translate consumer, brand, and technical needs into packaging that is appealing, practical, manufacturable, and increasingly resource-efficient. In this role, you will develop innovative packaging solutions that enhance the consumer experience while supporting sustainability, product protection, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
Your mission? To transform product and brand requirements into compelling, functional and commercially viable packaging concepts that strengthen Fiskars brands and create a great first impression at every consumer touchpoint.
You will work as an integral member of cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) teams, collaborating closely with Industrial Design, Product Engineering, Product Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality and external suppliers. From early concept development through production launch, you will help shape packaging solutions that balance creativity, consumer appeal, sustainability, and technical performance.
You may be a strong match if you have experience with a design-driven mindset and hands-on experience in carton and packaging design who enjoys turning ideas into tangible solutions used by consumers around the world. The position combines the NPD ownership and cross-functional collaboration found across Fiskars engineering and design roles while focusing specifically on packaging innovation.
This position is based either in Espoo or Billnäs factory, Finland, and reports to our Senior Manager, R&D. The role is full-time and hybrid.
