Role Overview

We are looking for a creative Junior Furniture Designer with a passion for furniture design, an understanding of materials and a strong sense of aesthetics. The candidate will be involved in designing furniture collections, developing chair and seating concepts, creating technical drawings and working closely with our production team to bring designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop furniture across categories such as accent chairs, office chairs, dining chairs, bar chairs, benches and tables.
• Create innovative furniture concepts, sketches, mood boards and design references.
• Develop 2D technical drawings, 3D models and detailed furniture specifications.
• Explore different furniture styles, structures, fabrics, colours, textures and finishes.
• Understand furniture proportions, ergonomics, comfort and functionality.
• Coordinate with the production team for furniture sampling, prototyping and design execution.
• Work on design modifications to improve aesthetics, comfort, durability and manufacturing feasibility.
• Research international furniture trends, new materials and contemporary design styles.
• Contribute creative ideas for upcoming furniture collections and seasonal launches.

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Furniture Design, Interior Design or a related design discipline.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino or similar design software.
• Ability to create furniture sketches, 3D models, technical drawings and renders.
• Understanding of furniture materials, metal fabrication, woodwork, upholstery and finishing.
• Good understanding of furniture aesthetics, proportions and ergonomics.
• Strong creative thinking, visualisation and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of rendering and AI design tools will be an added advantage.

• Interested in experimenting with different forms, materials and furniture styles.
• Able to balance creative design with practical manufacturing requirements.
• Willing to work hands-on with the design and production teams.
