What you’ll do
- Create original furniture concepts from scratch.
- Research trends, customers and market gaps.
- Design for production, flat-pack construction and commercial use.
- Work with materials such as melamine, metal, veneer, glass and fabric.
- Think about how a product will look, photograph and sell online.
- Take your ideas from concept to a product that can actually be manufactured.
What we’re looking for
- 0–2 years of furniture/product design experience.
- Experience with furniture that has gone into production.
- Basic understanding of proportion, materials, finishes and details.
- Ability to create ideas without simply copying references.
- Background in Furniture, Product or Industrial Design.
- NID, NIFT or a similar design institute is preferred.
