The Industrial Design department at Pratt Institute is calling for applications for inclusion in the pool of candidates to join our part-time teaching faculty, starting from the Fall 2024 semester.
The Industrial Design department is committed to educate students to become creative and responsible design leaders capable of bringing positive changes in culture, society, and environment. Whether working with industry or acting as entrepreneurs, Industrial Design graduates are able to create products, systems, and environments which help to innovate and improve people’s quality of life. - Other specialized fields of departmental interest
- Teach part-time courses in the Industrial Design department, focusing on areas such as 2D and 3D representation, product design, innovation, or sustainable design, while fostering students' ability to create products and systems that improve quality of life.
- Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative learning environment by leveraging strong interpersonal skills and intercultural competence, engaging with diverse student populations to promote responsible design leadership.
Applicants are required to have a professional degree in industrial design or relevant fields, and college-level teaching experience. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, a demonstrated level of intercultural competence, and ability to work well with diverse populations.
Pay Rate: $1,500 - $2,100 per contact hour,
