About the Role
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Industrial Designer / Design Engineer to develop innovative STEM and Robotics toys for children. The role involves designing educational products, creating 2D/3D models, developing prototypes, and ensuring product functionality, safety, and ease of manufacturing.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or Product Design who want to build their careers in educational product development, STEM learning, and Robotics.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with 1+ year of relevant experience in product design, 3D modelling, prototyping, CAD/CAM, or Robotics toy development are encouraged to apply. Hands-on experience in STEM and Robotics product development will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop STEM, Robotics, and educational toys for children.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design tools.
- Develop prototypes and test product functionality, usability, and safety.
- Convert product concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams for product development and mass production.
- Research educational toy trends, materials, mechanisms, and age-appropriate product requirements.
- Improve existing designs based on testing, functionality, and manufacturing feasibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's in Industrial Design is preferable.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Solidworks, Keyshot and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Passion for STEM & Robotics education and prior relevant working experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
