About this role
Who we are
Join the 2nd Fastest Growing Business in the UK
Lucky Egg makes party games that spread on social media and sell in the millions. Grab The Mic, Sorry What?!, Snort Funny and many more. We're the 2nd fastest growing business in the UK in this year's Sunday Times 100, roughly doubling every year, and building for £100m across the UK, US and Europe from a Soho office of around 32 people.
We hire A* players who think big and move fast, and we give them real ownership early. Our team is small, so your work will be visible, shipped and sold within months, not years.
Why join us?
This is a place where speed and creativity collide. You'll work with a smart, genuinely fun team and build physical products that people love, share and argue over. But beneath the fun is a serious product business with big ambitions, and you'll learn faster here than almost anywhere else. If you want to make the products that this company grows off, and that get played and watched by millions of people around the world, this is the role for you.
🎯 The Role (x2 roles available)
- Generate and pitch original game concepts, backed by evidence and data, rather than gut feel alone
- Take approved games from first prototype through playtesting, rules, factory samples and costing, and hold them through artwork and into production
- Work directly with production on samples, tooling and specs, and own your game’s cost, timeline and quality until it ships
- Keep a Game Log for every game so decisions and learnings are never lost
- Analyse our existing games and competitors to understand what the data says about what works, what doesn’t and why - and use this in your own product development process
- Work with Graphic Design to brief artwork, and see your products come to life on shelf
- Adapt games for the US and other markets, including language, cultural fit and labelling requirements
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Sourcing to understand what creates viral best selling games
👤 The Person
- High ownership, quick turnaround, and the confidence to defend your ideas and take feedback in the same meeting
- Experience designing or developing tabletop, card or party games, or toys, ideally with at least one product that’s sold
- Practical experience of physical product development: prototyping, working with factories or suppliers, and understanding unit costs and margins
- A strong sense of what makes a party game funny, fast and easy to play, and the ability to explain why
- AI native: you will use AI to speed up and optimise your processes
This isn't traditional consumer goods. It's culture-driven, social-media-native, fast-cycle physical product development.
🎉 The Fun Stuff
You'll play games regularly, work with a brilliant and kind team, and watch things you developed go from an idea to millions of views and a shelf in Target. It's high energy, high creativity and deeply rewarding.
🏢 Location and Benefits
- 4+ days a week in Soho with a team that's a lot of fun to be around, and 1 WFH home day
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension
- Access to local discounts – cafés, fitness, beauty, and more.
- Free games every year
- Fully stocked kitchen (think crisps, bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruits, biscuits, drinks etc)
- Socials, summer sports day, the usual Lucky Egg nonsense
🌟 Our Culture and Values
Speed: We work in minutes and hours, not days and weeks.
Think big: Chase 10x ideas, we’re not interested in thinking small.
Ownership: Full accountability and a bias to action.
Honesty: Direct and transparent.
Curiosity: Be obsessively curious about everything you do - build, test, refine.
Exceptional people: Low ego, high capability. We’re kind people who are passionate about what we do.
