This internship goes beyond concept work: you'll have the opportunity to follow one or more products through the entire development process, from ideation through sampling and ultimately into the parks and "on stage." You'll work alongside our designers and product development team to explore concepts across categories such as plush, action figures, games, playsets, outdoor play, and roleplay, with mentorship from experienced toy and product designers.
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2027 through June 2027

- Assist in building, refining, and providing feedback on physical and digital prototypes.
- Participate in brainstorms and concept reviews, contributing original ideas rooted in Disney IP, including our classic characters, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and many more.
- Research trends in toy design, play patterns, and materials to inform new product concepts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, Sourcing, and Merchant partners to bring designs from concept through production.
- Review and provide feedback on samples as products move toward final production and placement on stage in our parks.
- Help prepare presentation boards, mood boards, and pitch materials for internal design reviews.
- Incorporate feedback from mentors and leadership, iterating quickly across multiple concepts and development rounds.
Please Apply If You Are/Have
- A strong portfolio demonstrating sketching, ideation, anatomy, form, and function (3D development is a bonus).
- Experience with or strong interest in toy design or industrial design, including one or more of: plush, dolls, action figures, games, puzzles, playsets, vehicles, outdoor play, roleplay products, and more.

- Comfortable sketching and communicating ideas both digitally and by hand.
- Strong collaboration skills and openness to feedback in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- A genuine passion for Disney storytelling, characters, and the play experiences they inspire.
